Here I was just doing my daily Web surfing when I came across a Youtube video by Michael James. In this video, he compares various ways of creating HDR images. The one that caught my attention was Lightroom plugin Enfuse. The reason it caught my attention was the fact that I could create an HDR image directly in Lightroom without ever leaving Lightroom! I’m on my way to Los Angeles California for a quick holiday and I just bought my ticket for the L.A. Zoo. I have to admit that I haven’t been to many zoos. I’m always conflicted when I go there. Seeing animals in small enclosures like slaves breaks my heart but at the same time, I can’t deny the education those zoos give us, especially children. They create an awareness of how precious, diversified and beautiful life is. That we need to take care of it or else…

Here’s a DIY option to use your speed light with your studio softboxes.

I was looking at various ways to hook up my SB-800 to my softboxes and found a few options like the Westcott Slipper but found it overpriced considering you could get an Ezybox for less. Being determined to find a way, I continued my hunt. And last week I got lucky and found this Youtube video by Stephen Poff from someone on Twitter who RT it. In his video, he shows how he used a Justin clamp with his speed light and studio softbox. My jaw dropped to the floor! It’s so simple!

It’s raining right now… actually it’s pouring.  Which made me think that it would be a great tutorial idea to give you my tricks for shooting in the rain.

It’s not because it’s raining that you can’t go out and shoot.  Some great photography was done in the rain. Not a lot of people do it  because they think it’s “bad” weather. Well, as you already know, I had a blast in NYC! It was 5 days well spent in great company. My good friend and fellow photographer Martin Perreault and I crashed at our buddy’s place Joey Lawrence.
