Creating HDR Images Directly in Lightroom – Video Tutorial

lr logo1 Creating HDR Images Directly in Lightroom Video TutorialHere I was just doing my daily Web surfing when I came across a Youtube video by Michael James. In this video, he compares various ways of creating HDR images. The one that caught my attention was Lightroom plugin Enfuse. The reason it caught my attention was the fact that I could create an HDR image directly in Lightroom without ever leaving Lightroom! I’m all about workflow efficiency and this option sounded great. If you missed my Photoshop tutorial on HDR, you can also check it out.

Zoo Photography Tutorial – 9 Steps for Those Perfect Shots

gorila.thumbnail Zoo Photography Tutorial 9 Steps for Those Perfect ShotsI’m on my way to Los Angeles California for a quick holiday and I just bought my ticket for the L.A. Zoo. I have to admit that I haven’t been to many zoos. I’m always conflicted when I go there. Seeing animals in small enclosures like slaves breaks my heart but at the same time, I can’t deny the education those zoos give us, especially children. They create an awareness of how precious, diversified and beautiful life is. That we need to take care of it or else…

It’s also a great opportunity to photograph animals that we would probably never see otherwise.  Zoo photography can be a Continue Reading »

flash intro.thumbnail How to Use Speed Lights with Studio SoftboxesHere’s a DIY option to use your speed light with your studio softboxes.
vide How to Use Speed Lights with Studio Softboxes
I was looking at various ways to hook up my SB-800 to my softboxes and found a few options like the Westcott Slipper but found it overpriced considering you could get an Ezybox for less. Being determined to find a way, I continued my hunt. And last week I got lucky and found this Youtube video by Stephen Poff from someone on Twitter who RT it. In his video, he shows how he used a Justin clamp with his speed light and studio softbox. My jaw dropped to the floor! It’s so simple!

7 Steps for Taking Photos in the Rain

cedre goute.thumbnail 7 Steps for Taking Photos in the RainIt’s raining right now… actually it’s pouring.  Which made me think that it would be a great tutorial idea to give you my tricks for shooting in the rain.
vide 7 Steps for Taking Photos in the Rain
It’s not because it’s raining that you can’t go out and shoot.  Some great photography was done in the rain. Not a lot of people do it  because they think it’s “bad” weather. Water creates wonderful photography opportunities just like getting up at 4am to shoot the sunrise. It,s a unique experience that every passionate of photography must try. You won’t see rainy days the same way ever again. icon smile 7 Steps for Taking Photos in the Rain
