This is a quick and easy tutorial on how to create awesome grunge effects in Photoshop simply by using blending modes. All you need is one of your photos, a texture and Photoshop! If you don,t have textures, just go out and shoot your sidewalk, walls or whatever that looks good. Or if you’re too lazy, just Google “free textures”.

As you guys know, I’m a big fan of Lightroom. And with Lightroom 3 out, I’ve discovered many cool tweaks and upgrades like super fast importing and disk deletion as well as image preview generation. They seem like little things but it just keeps time on your side just a bit more.

I guess some of you still don’t have Lightroom 2 because you asked me if it was possible to do split toning in Photoshop. The answer is YES. If you have CS4, you can actually do split toning just like in Lightroom using ACR. But if you’re like me and still using an older version of Photoshop there’s still a way to do it.
