Bracketing

Bracketing is defined as taking multiple images of the same scene at different exposure settings. Bracketing is normally used to ensure correct exposure in highly contrasted situations. It is also used in HDR photography to get a high dynamic range.

Most DSLR cameras have auto bracketing options. You can also manually bracket images while in Manual mode and changing either the shutter speed, aperture or ISO (not recommended).
