How to Use the Patch Tool in Photoshop – Video Tutorial

We’ re back in Photoshop! This time I’m going to show you how to use the Patch tool.

If you’re not familiar with the patch tool, don’t worry. It’s not commonly used and even those who know it exists, haven’t really played around with it. 🙂

In this Photoshop tutorial, I’ll show you how to use the patch tool to remove unwanted bags under the eyes and also how I use it on certain nature images.

If you like the healing brush, you’ll love the patch tool! 🙂

  1. Thanks for the great tutorial! I learned how to use the patch tool the other day…and it was soooo easy! However, today I’m trying to use it, and it’s ‘stuck’ on making me use a pattern (even though I have “source” selected). Can anybody tell me how to get rid of the “pattern” option?

  9. Hi Yanik,

    Great Tutorial, as usual.

I just found out that the Patch Tool works for every selection.
Just make a selection, click Patch Tool and patch away.

    Cheers
