The Best Job in the World – I didn’t make the cut.

Many of you might have heard of “The Best Job in the World” advertised by Tourism Queensland. Some of you might have even applied! 🙂

Well, I have to let you in on a little secret…. I applied as well! Today was the announcement of the short list and… I didn’t make the cut. But that’s alright. I had such a blast filming it and putting it all together with my good friend and fellow pro photographer Martin Perreault. We laughed so hard and I learned a little bit about film editing. The whole process was fun and I’m so glad I did it.

I’d like to share with you my application video. The first one is the uncut version. I then had to trim it down to 1 minute for the application. I have to warn you though, you’ll see a different side of me. 😉

Enjoy!

This wouldn’t be a YPS post without a bit of learning. 😉 so here’s are some Underwater Photography Tips from PopPhoto.com.

  3. @ Guy

Ya, I agree…. I guess when you have 38 000 clips to review, your mind goes to mush after a while 😉

  4. Good for you! Great video.

I also applied and had fun doing it.

I’m not sure how they selected the top 50 but I found some of the selections a bit odd…

  5. Yanik, it’s good to put a face to the blogger.

    The videos were hillarious 🙂

Thanks for sharing and keep doing what you do.
