Portrait Makeover Part 3 – Photoshop Makeup
This is a photo of my assistant Emanuelle and she’s also a great model.
If you missed part 1 & 2 of my Portrait Makeover series you can view part 1 here and part 2 here.
You’ll also notice that I didn’t use the non destructive dodging and burning technique like I showed you here. It’s just another way of doing it.
Enjoy!

Great technique for deepening, but not changing, the color of the lips. Thank you! smiles – Ann
What a great tutorial! While I seldom use Photoshop, most of these techniques are available in Paint Shop Pro and I’ll certainly be making use of them on my photos!

Very nice tut mate (:
Good tut. Using a layer mask would be a better option than the eraser tool. It will allow you to undo mistakes and have a lot more control.
Great video, not to many videos out there that show pro techniques.

That helped tremendously! Thank you so much. I’d give you a thousand apples if I had any.

what a great technique, thank you.
I love your video tutorials yanik and they are really helpfull, discovered photoshop only a few weeks ago and i am addicted…. allready learned so much by myself and now going through all tutorials i can find, great way to learn stuff… i like the way you teach, clear, helpfull and funny at times and i like that
wtg yanik, give us more pls !!!
another way to apply makeup is to paint the color on the face, and then change the layer style to “color” (it’s near the bottom of the list). that way, it keeps all of the detail of the skin etc. and just changes the color. P.S. it will at first look like the way in the video – like a clown – but after changing the layer style it looks totally natural. make sure to do it on a duplicate layer, not the original.
