Strobist Lighting 101

strobist Strobist Lighting 101As you guys may already know, I’m a big fan of David Hobby and his Strobist Website. Which makes me a big fan of off camera lighting with small strobes. Which makes me want to share what I learn with you. So much so that I’ve already written quite a few posts on the subject, not to mention that I’m currently doing a compete series on them on DIYPhotography.net.

But today I want to get down to the basics with you. Take it from the top, as they say. But I won’t be doing any of the work! ;) David has already done such a great job putting together his Lighting 101 workshop. So why just rehash a great thing!

I was just going through the Lighting 101 section on Strobist roughly a year after I had read it originally and I had forgotten many things. It’s just packed with goodies even for the “not too much of a beginner” like me. I figured this time I would take some notes… until I noticed that there was a downloadable PDF version! Woohoo! Another point for the Strobist!

You can download the complete Strobist Lighting 101 PDF here. *note: this document has a Creative Commons license under which it can be printed out, shared and/or hosted anywhere. The only restrictions are that it cannot be altered or used commercially, and attribution must be included.

Enjoy it! I know I am! :)

    Nice :)

I’m a fan of Strobist as well, however I had no idea that he has a pdf version available. Thank you for sharing that.

    Have a great day.
