ps logo1 Color Range in Photoshop   Video TutorialHere’s a tutorial request from Claudette and a few others who wanted to know how the color range feature worked in Photoshop.

Basically, I use the Color Range feature in Photoshop when I need to quickly select and object from its background. But it does have its limits. Since it makes a selection according to color, your object will have to be a different color than your background if you want this type of selection to be efficient. The other trick is to play with the Fuzziness slider which basically acts as tolerance. The higher the fuzziness number, the more “tolerant” the color selection is.

    Thanks Yanik… for posting this Tutorial that I had requested. It was helpful and now I know WHY it wasn’t working for me in my previous attempts, because my intended object’s color wasn’t a big enough contrast from my Background color. As you explained also, the Fuzziness Slider helps to confine your selection even further. Thanks again!
