Photoshop Video Tutorial – Changing a Subject’s Color
Welcome to a new Photoshop video tutorial at Yanik’s Photo School. I’ve had a couple of requests on a tutorial focused on changing the specific color of a subject, like turning a green apple purple. So I went ahead and did it. You see, my suggestion box really does work. Ask and you shall should receive. ![]()
I’ll show you 3 different ways of changing a subject’s color. I’m sure there are many more but in this tutorial, I’ll focus on the “hue/saturation”, “selective color” ans “replace color” adjustments. You can also see another way of doing it by watching my tutorial on changing eye color.
Have fun with it and post your tests in Yanik’s Photo School’s Flickr Group! ![]()

Thanks again Yanik!
Very helpful. I’ve used hue/saturation and replace color to change object’s color, but I didn’t know you could adjust the RANGE of color affected in hue saturation via the “rainbow” color bar along bottom of hue/saturation window and that you could add other colors by clicking option and then selecting colors. Thank you! smiles – Ann
